Well Youth

WELCOME TO WELL YOUTH

“Seen by God, Known by Him, Welcoming others”

We are a youth friendly church, with open walls to include everyone, We see ourselves as a treasure chest with the lock broken, growing in faith through relationships, Everyone welcome, No embarrassment, Hungry for Jesus, Putting the youth workers out of a job!

Current activities in the youth community:-

  • Years 7-9 Small Group – fortnightly meetings at Wells Way from 7-8:30 on Wednesday evenings led by Danny, Josh and Rachel Ash. Combination of fun, games, and learning more about God.
  • Years 10-13 Small Group – weekly meetings at House Café (Camberwell Church Street) from 7-9pm on Thursday evenings led by Liz and Rachel Abr. A combination of fun, fellowship, and developing our faith.
  • Youth Band – for 11-18’s, sessions happen at Wells Way on alternate Monday evenings. Sessions vary from rehearsing for upcoming services to worship workshops.
  • Youth Service – Every third Sunday the youth community meets out.
  • Football – Meeting weekly at the Damilola Taylor Centre (just round the corner from Wells Way) to play football from 7-8pm. These sessions are for lads aged 15 and upward, and are also open to others in the church. We hope these sessions will help to build relationships between people in our community.
  • Discussion Groups – In the past we have run a number of Youth Alpha courses and we are currently running discussion groups to talk about faith and Christianity.
  • Sunday mornings – Every Sunday morning we run sessions for 11-14 year olds to engage with the Bible. On the first Sunday of each month we organise activities for 15-18 year olds. These sessions take the youth outside of Wells Way and could include a number of different things such as prayer walking.
  • Mentoring – Some of the youth are mentored by people in the church, to walk with them on their journey of faith.
  • Socials – more informal and relaxed sessions, with an opportunity to bring friends!
