Hope Primary School

The Well (formerly Ichthus Camberwell) launched a nursery that grew into Hope Primary School with room for up to 100 children. It ran for over 15 years and saw more than 500 children through their primary school years in a safe environment of prayer and faith that gave them all a strong start in life

Hope Primary School was a community school that successfully led over 500 pupils through their primary years education. It ran the national curriculum with a Christ centred emphasis and was voluntarily ofsted examined, achieving high standards and recieving compliments from all quarters. The School was started in response to the dire state of primary education at that time. In recent years the state of primary education in Southwark has improved considerably, and the Hope Primary School was closed in 2006 having run for 15 years on a ‘shoestring budget’.
The headteacher remains on staff as our resources manager, helping to manage our current community projects.
