Soul Survivor is an organisation that puts on events specifically for young people. Every year in August, there are three five-day events, each with several thousand people.
A typical day kicks off with some worship, where most of the site gathers into one massive tent. After this, there are several seminars covering a wide variety of topics, from evangelism to singleness, or there’s the option to relax in a cafe, or go to the skate park and sports zones. Later in the day, there’s another worship session, and after that, it’s back to the entertainment venues to enjoy the rest of the evening.
Accommodation is a campsite, so don’t forget a tent and sleeping bag. There’s hot food stands and a small shop on site, but if you’re planning to cook for yourself, then there’s a huge Tesco a short drive from the site.
• A great time was had at Soul Survivor this year – 25 youth from The Well (plus some wrinklies who sneaked in) just came back with stories of what God had done for them there. 600 young people decided to follow Christ this year.. Atheist summer camp this definately is not!! What a great God we have. Youth related links
