We are passionate about seeing other people experience the unconditional love and transforming power of Jesus – the same love and power that is still changing us.. And we think this happens best through communities who share life together.
We see ourselves as extended families on mission together, because church is not a meeting you go to, but a community to which you belong.
If you find labels helpful, we consider ourselves to be community-focused, justice-seeking, charismatic and generously evangelical. We’ve been around since 1987, and we’ve been called The Well since 2004. We are part of the Pioneer network of churches and we go way back with Pecan, XLP and iNet. We take a lead role in SFJ and Transform Southwark. and are the host trust for a citywide vision called REACH London
We have a rich history of community projects over the years, including running a community Primary School, a Launderette, a Charity Shop, and an award winning high street Cafe/Gallery. We currently partner with London Reclaimed, who run ‘Lumberjack’, a cool cafe in 70 Camberwell Church Street. London Reclaimed is a charity that employs, trains and mentors young people & makes beautiful furniture.
