When Jesus proclaimed the ‘Year of the Lord’s favour’ I don’t think he was talking about a mere 365 days – he was talking about the new era He was announcing, the era we’re living in, when God is raising us to life through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Brilliant!

This year is no exception, and it is our prayer in the Well Youth team to see every young person loved, valued and in a meaningful friendship with God, filled with the Holy Spirit and serving Jesus in community. To that end, there’s a lot happening! Please read on…

Two new groups

Rejoice! We’re launching two new mid-week youth groups in January. These will both involve food, games and discussion but are for slightly different age groups. Those who show up get to shape what happens, and what these groups will be named!

Laoti & Dan’s Team
When: Every other Wednesday from 17th January, 6.00pm-8.00pm
Where: The Youngs’ Place
Who: pre-GCSE youth & friends
Pieter & Fiona’s Team
When: Every other Friday from 12th January, 7.00pm-9.00pm
Where: Fi’s Place
Who: GCSE/A-Level youth & friends
Please let Jon know whether you plan to come or have any questions about these groups (e.g. Where are these places? How do I get there and back? Are these age groupings set in stone?*)

Soul Survivor

This year we’ll be taking a group to Soul Survivor, a massive summer camp for 12-18 year olds in a field near Peterborough. We’re looking at going to Week C 24th-28th August. The week costs £97 if you book before January 31st and £117 after that, plus a little extra for food during the camp. Older youth (over 16) can volunteer on a team and go for free. This is a great event to invite your friends to come to!

Please get in touch with Jon with any questions and to register your interest.

Short Term Mission

There is an opportunity through iNet for older youth to serve internationally on Short Term missions teams this coming summer. If you are interested, there is an iNet curry night on the 6th of February where you can find out more. Jon is going along, let him know if you’re interested too.

Blessings,

Jon
